Anaheim Coves Trail:

26-acre nature park was created in cooperation with the Orange County Water District, Orange County Flood Control District, and Southern California Edison.

The trail consists of 2.5 miles of paved accessible trails with views of the reservoir, metal fence the entire way – peak through to look for bird.

Check for signs with fitness zones (scan for videos), educational signs, benches, native plants and a playground called Explore’s Cove.

Two entrances off Ball Road & Lincoln Ave. both have free & small parking lots & restrooms. The closest parking to the playground is off Lincoln Ave.

Go straight from the parking lot to access the in & out path with Reservoir views.

For Explore’s Cove Playground from the parking lot go through the gate and turn left and down, take the tunnel under Lincoln Ave. and follow the paved path until it ends at the playground (1 mile to the playground & 1 mile back to the parking lot). Outdoor fitness stations along the way. Once you see the blue wall the playground is around that corner. (No views along this path of the Coves).

Playground has sand with fossils to find, boulder, climbing net, zipline & play structure. Picnic tables there & restrooms back at the parking lot.

Gate & restrooms close at sunset.
