Family Storytime: Brea, every Saturday 11-11:30am: Join us for an all-ages Family Storytime every Saturday morning! We will sing songs, read books and enjoy rhymes suitable for the whole family. No registration required.

Family Storytime: Mesa Verde Library every Saturday 11-12pm: Join for Family Storytime where they read stories, sing songs and learn fingerplays. Stay and Play is an interactive play time for caregiver and child. No registration is required

Toddler Play & Learn – Laguna Niguel, every Saturday 11-12pm: For babies up to 3 with an adult, free sensory playtime with toys and music.

Family Storytime-Costa Mesa Donald Dungan every Saturday 11-12pm: Join for stories, songs, & movement in English! This event is all ages. No registration required.

Family Storytime – Garden Grove Main Library only 8/5 Saturday 11-12pm: Stories, songs, and more for all ages. Bring the whole family! Saturday storytime is followed by a craftivity.

Crafty Saturday – San Juan Capistrano, every Saturday 11-12pm: 8/5 Newspaper Sharks, 8/12 Paper plate snails, 8/19 Egg carton animals, 8/26 Paper bag puppy

Craft Day – Irvine University Park Library – ONLY First Saturday of the month 8/5 11:30-2:30pm: Join for a fun-filled day of crafts. With help from Irvine’s Assisteens, children can enjoy seasonal crafts every month. Free for all. No registration required.

Family Movie Afternoons – La Palma, every Saturday 2-4pm: Join for a movie & craft

Book Buddies – La Habra, every Saturday 2-4pm: Readers choose a book and pair up with a Teen Buddy to practice their reading skills. Teen Buddies can also read a book to younger readers looking to share the joy of reading. Intended for early readers in grades 1-4.

Teen and Adult Sewing Workshop – Laguna Niguel, every other Saturday 2-4pm (July 8, July 22): Open lab where you can bring any sewing project you’re working on and get help, support, and inspiration as we all create together! Supplies are provided by the library (including fabric and thread), but bringing your own is recommended if you have a personal project or a preferred fabric. Teens 12+ and adults are welcome. There are 10 sewing machines available, so please register by emailing [email protected] or by calling the library at 949-249-5252

Family Fun – Rancho Santa Margarita Library, every Saturday 2pm: 8/5 Craftapaloza, 8/12 Game On! to play board games, 8/19 Bark! Beginning readers are invited to come to the library and practice their reading skills by reading to certified therapy dogs. 8/26 Family Movie: The Super Mario Bros. Movie.

LEGO Club – Laguna Beach Library, every Saturday from 3-4pm: Library provides LEGOs, base plates, challenges, and space. Separate areas for younger and older children. Guardian supervision is required.

Bilingual Storytime: Irvine Heritage Park Library Join for stories, songs, rhymes and fun in English and other World Languages on these days these Sundays: 8/20 Arabic Storytime 11am & 8/27 Persian Storytime 10:30am

Play@Wheeler Family Program – Irvine Katie Wheeler Library – every Sunday 11-12pm: A variety of toys, puzzles, and tabletop games for all ages will be available in the children’s area on the second floor. Spend quality time with family and make new friends.

Builder’s Club – Costa Mesa, Mesa Verde Branch – every 1st & 3rd Sunday from 11-12pm (8/20) Join us for an hour of creative fun as children and their families build and play in the children’s area. We supply the Lego and Duplo blocks, along with other building materials, and you supply the creativity!

Sunday Afternoon

Lego Club – Garden Grove Main Library – only 8/6 – typically Sundays 2-3pm: Build with LEGOs to your heart’s content. For all ages (under 6 with an accompanying adult). Bring the whole family!

Lego Mania – La Habra Library – Every Sunday 2-4pm: Design, build, and express your creativity with Lego! Join us every Sunday for an afternoon of innovation.  All ages welcome.
