Northwood Community Park (Castle Park) – Playground:
- Visibility can become an issue here with the castle structure
- Restrooms in the Community Center & building by tennis courts
- Some shade sails
- Sand
- Baby bucket, kid & tire swing
- Fun Features: spring riders, sand play, monkey bars, fireman’s pole, bridge
- Take the bridge into the castle and stairs up to the top level, the only way down is a fireman’s pole or take the same stairs back down
- Covered picnic tables and BBQ
- Paved pathway to playground and through the grass (fitness equipment stations, shuffleboard, Tai Chi court)
- Parking lot shared with the Community Center
Rental Information:
One of two picnic shelters is always left open for first-come, first-served use for groups of 50 or fewer. The additional shelter is available is for reservations. Groups larger than 50 or those bringing in vendor services (such as bounce houses or catering) must make reservations. Shelter #1 is located closest to the playground; Shelter #2 is in the back of the building. Each shelter includes six tables and two barbecues. Maximum capacity is 100 people per shelter. Electrical outlet available. Bounce house allowed here.
