Trail Features Stroller Friendly

Redwood Grove in Carbon Canyon Regional Park

Easy walking/hiking trail into Southern California’s largest grove of Redwood Trees.

While this is stroller friendly, it is a dirt path so a jogger stroller is suggested.

Pay to enter the Regional Park:

  • $3 per vehicle entry Monday – Friday
  • $5 Saturday – Sunday

As you enter you can go left & park next to the playgrounds – you can start your walk/hike here and walk around the lake to find the last parking lot and the entrance to the trail.

Or you can park at the closest parking lot to the trail, which will be once you enter you make a right and follow along to the last parking lot. (Less than 1.5 miles there & back)

You will see the entrance onto the trail, follow the dirt path and signs and go right onto the trail. then continue on Coyote pass and make a right onto Redwood Trail. You will see the Dam and follow along to find the Redwood forest.

There is no shade until you get to the Redwood Forest. There are around 200 Redwoods here and short path to walk through them.

Return back the same way you entered and go to the parking lot or walk past the lake to visit the playgrounds.
