Calafia State Beach:
- Access the beach from the parking lot by crossing the train tracks that lead to stairs to the beach
- This the most South point of the San Clemente Beach Trail! You can start your walk here, it is 2 miles to the pier
- Restrooms, picnic tables and showers next to the Calafia Beach Cafe (closed, unsure when/if it will reopen) located within the parking lot
- No dogs allowed on the beach
- Waves can be bigger here depending on the tide, make sure to watch for drop offs and rip currents
- To see the sandstone make a left from the parking lot, DO NOT climb on the bluffs as they can be very unstable, make sure to proceed with caution as you explore & stay on the trails
- Large day use parking lot – pay by meter or by phone using the Yodel App
- Free 2hr street parking along Avenida Lobeiro – small grass area in front, take the path down to the parking lot which leads to the beach
Campgrounds also available here for tent & RV camping. Picnic tables, restrooms, showers, wood for purchase as well as a visitor center and trail to the beach.
