As you walk along this .2 mile trail you will pass under the Dana Point Arches from the Dana Point Inn from 1930 – sign reads “These arches were part of the S.H. Woodruff’s resort hotel – The Dana Point Inn. The stock market crash and The Great Depression halted construction, ending his dream. Part of the foundation, the hand poured concrete arches remain a local landmark. Remnants of a 1920’s rock path are visible from the bridge crossing the canyon.”

Continue on to see the Hide Drogher Statue showing a hide trader reads “New England sailors of the 1800’s tossed locally-raised cowhides from these clidds to be traded fro finished goods carried by their ships. Sculptor: F. Benedict Coleman 1990”

The bridge is also over the Dana Point waterfall (man made), visable from Dana Point Harbor Drive, only visable after heavy rainfall. Looks very tropical as it is surrounded by palm trees.

Then continue on up the stairs to a look out point.
